Help Using Book.ly

Having trouble with Book.ly? Send us an email and we'll check it out. Check below for answers to some common questions about this site.

Safe Buying With Book.ly

Book.ly does not sell textbooks. We compare the prices for textbooks at trusted third-party merchants. When you click to buy a book on our site, you are sent directly to the merchant, such as Amazon, that is selling the book. You complete your purchase through the merchant's site. Book.ly never sees or has access to any of your personal information.

Because our information is provided by merchants, it is important to double-check what you are purchasing. Some Amazon and Half used-book sellers will do deceiving things such as list a workbook or teacher's guide using the title and ISBN code of a textbook. In order to make sure you are getting the right book, you should check the used book's comments field before purchasing.

Different merchants have different policies regarding returns, so be sure to check their site before making your purchase. Book.ly cannot help you with textbook returns.

Accuracy of Textbook Listings

The way we get data on textbooks varies per-school. We work with our local partner (student government, campus club, etc.) to determine the best way to find course and book data. The data we provide are usually about as accurate as the campus bookstore's, but professors can sometimes make last minute changes or not list certain required books on their syllabus. If you are unsure about a book, you should double-check against your syllabus, course web site, or the bookstore before buying. We haven't had any errors thus far, but send us an email if you do find a discrepency and we will be quick to remedy it.
